We’re thrilled to announce that S&SHIS, as one of the four pioneering organisations partnering with the National Health Service England (NHSE), has achieved a significant milestone in enhancing security for local healthcare trusts.
My role involves designing and developing applications within fUSION tailored to the users needs. This involves writing code, testing code, researching and finding possible solutions to meet the user’s needs, improving the application based on feedback.
In early 2019, we had placed an advert on NHS Jobs to recruit our next batch of apprentices. Daniel’s Mum Louise, who works within our host Trust MPFT at Haywood Hospital, had seen this and noticed that some work experience was an essential requirement for application, so she contacted us to find out how Daniel could arrange this, with a view to him applying for an apprenticeship.
Sean initially undertook work experience with us back in 2017, after being nominated by a member of the S&SHIS Senior Management team. Sean completed two blocks of work experience, one in November 2017 for five consecutive Wednesdays, with the 1st and 2nd Line teams then another five Wednesdays in January 2018.
As a Project Manager, I provide efficient and effective management and coordination of a number of IT projects that S&SHIS are either delivering directly or contributing to as part of wider customer projects.
My current role is very varied supporting different systems across the trusts, including hardware and software. I ask the team lots of questions still as every day is a learning curve! It was a bit daunting joining the team as i’m the only girl but was made to feel very welcome by everyone.
This role is a combination of managing the financial side of the S&SHIS in terms of our contracts with our Partners & Customers, I have to work closely with Finance & Service Leads throughout the year to monitor the budgets and set them ready for the next financial year.
