My role involves designing and developing applications within fUSION tailored to the users needs. This involves writing code, testing code, researching and finding possible solutions to meet the user’s needs, improving the application based on feedback.

As a Project Manager, I provide efficient and effective management and coordination of a number of IT projects that S&SHIS are either delivering directly or contributing to as part of wider customer projects.

Manage and support staff in the Service Desk. Alert teams of trends in tickets logged by users and then work with the teams, where possible, to provide a fix/workaround.

My current role is very varied supporting different systems across the trusts, including hardware and software. I ask the team lots of questions still as every day is a learning curve! It was a bit daunting joining the team as i’m the only girl but was made to feel very welcome by everyone.

This role is a combination of managing the financial side of the S&SHIS in terms of our contracts with our Partners & Customers, I have to work closely with Finance & Service Leads throughout the year to monitor the budgets and set them ready for the next financial year.
