What do you do in your role?

My current role is very varied supporting different systems across the trusts, including hardware and software. I ask the team lots of questions still as every day is a learning curve! It was a bit daunting joining the team as i’m the only girl but was made to feel very welcome by everyone.

What other roles and departments have you worked in during your career?

• Senior Support Engineer in Operational Development
• 1st Line Technician on the Service Desk

What motivated you to move roles?

I felt ready to start learning a more technical role within the S&SHIS.

What support helped you to make this change?

The staff in the S&SHIS team are all very helpful and supportive, which made me feel confident in applying for the role.

S&SHIS is like a family, everyone is supportive and always helpful.

What would be your best piece of advice to others seeking a career in the S&SHIS?

Knuckle down and be a hard worker and have an open mind.
