Enhancing Clinical Efficiency at Haywood Hospital
S&SHIS Supports MPFT Staff with New Workspace Setup at Barker Unit
In a continued effort to support clinical efficiency and high-quality patient care, Staffordshire & Shropshire Health Informatics Service (S&SHIS) visited the Barker Unit at Haywood Hospital, to prepare new workspaces for Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust (MPFT) staff, who carry out essential administrative tasks within the clinical environment.
Before equipment arrived, our technician ensured all necessary network ports were active and connected to the network switch, laying the groundwork for stable and secure access to clinical systems.
Once the equipment was delivered, each desk was carefully set up with:
- A Dell Docking Station
- Two 24″ Dell Monitors
- Keyboard and Mouse
This configuration provides staff with three screens, enabling seamless multitasking and improved workflow when handling calls and clinical documentation.
Cables were neatly routed and secured using cable trunking, ensuring a tidy and safe workspace.
By the end of the day, 12 fully equipped desks were ready for use, each with reliable wired connectivity and a clean, professional finish.
This setup empowers MPFT teams to work more efficiently and continue delivering outstanding patient care.
S&SHIS remains committed to supporting frontline services with robust, well-designed IT infrastructure.
