Always challenge yourself and be open to feedback—it’s one of the fastest ways to develop. Find what truly interests and motivates you, then seek out opportunities to explore those areas both within the workplace and beyond.

My best piece of advice is to identify the areas in which you are confident with, but more importantly, the areas which you are not.

The S&SHIS allowed me to utilise my skills and gave me the opportunity to work in the area I have always wanted to and gain experience.

Don't be afraid! There is support available from staff to help you with any perceived weaknesses you may have. Everyone is friendly and is happy to help!

If you have an interest, follow up on it! and make it known to colleagues and managers as this may open doors for you.

I value my career progression because it allows me to keep learning and allows me to take on new and different responsibilities.

Keep challenging yourself and don’t be afraid to take any opportunity you’re interested in.
